Crash while importing ALE from Resolve

I tried importing an ALE made on Resolve into Cortex 1.5.3 v5126. Cortex promptly crashed.

Looking at the logs, there was an unhandled exception: Bad AUDIO_FORMAT. My guess is Cortex was expecting a certain column and didn’t find it. Maybe.

I’ll email the ALE to support soon. I checked and it has correct Windows-style line endings (CR + LF) as noted in this post a few months back.

Here’s the relevant log message from the crash:

"0","Cortex","Error","Cortex//ReadGlobalHeading(0): Cortex unhandled exception: Bad AUDIO_FORMAT","","08-14-2014 15:00:16.578","10784","1","1191411832297","CORTEX03"

Thanks, we’ll take a look.

The immediate issue is that this line uses a lowercase h instead of an uppercase H:

AUDIO_FORMAT	48khz

If you change that to 48kHz then it will import OK using the Import Color from ALE/EDL/CDL... feature in the Still Store.

There are other fields that we expect like Duration that will currently prevent you from importing this into the Clips bin currently though.

This should be fixed in v1.5.3 b5172.
