If you import a CORTEX Manifest and then merge it with media via the Import > Media Folder function, The media and metadata will be relinked in the Clip Bin, but not in the Files Bin or Data Discrepancy Report.
To allow for full Data Discrepancy Reporting in this case, you should also run a Verify Job
- Create a New Copy Job
- Set the Source to the same local directory you used to Import the media
- Uncheck all Destinations, including Primary
- Click Start Copy
You’ll notice that this does not create any copies of the media and skips directly to the Verification step. This allows CORTEX to calculate and compare files sizes and checksums for a full report.
