Just had an issue with one particular installation of CORTEX Dailies and I thought I’d share the fix with you.
It seems to occur when some write permissions get changed (in particular the C:\ProgramData\MTI folder being set to readonly). Here is a fix:
Symptoms:
- Upon starting CORTEX, the Project Manager takes a very long time to populate. CORTEX seems to hang at times.
- When you open a project the following (or similar) error messages pops ups:
Solution:
In Win7, go to:
Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings
Slide the notification settings all the way down to “Never Notify” (as shown in picture below). After that, restart your computer and the problem should be fixed:
