Not all scene/take fields are automatically populated from the sound roll. Sometimes it’s blank and other times the scene is blank and the take is the scene number. It happens randomly.
We don’t actually parse the file name to get that metadata.
The metadata is stored in the broadcast wave file’s header. If you just select the wave file in the bottom half of your clip list before you sync it to anything, you should be able to see what we have extracted from it.
Perhaps the take numbers are not being stored in there correctly by this particular recorder?
