Very strange one here. I discovered this (how else) by accident and confirmed the same problem across different projects and with 2 other users in my facility in their projects. When I grab a still in a dailies session the timecode displayed on the thumbnail matches the timecode of the place in the footage I grabbed it - exactly as it’s supposed to. The problem occurs only after the project is closed and reopened. Then the timecode will shift in the display and no longer match the footage.
Like I said - strange.
