What is the "Create & Close" button for on the new reel dialog?

When i create a new reel I’m given the option to Create & Close the reel.
Under what circumstances would I Create & Close a new reel vs Create and add clips?

In some cases, people don’t create Reels first, but rather select clips from the bin, right-click and Add to New Reel. In that case, they get to the same dialog and may want to just close it immediately.
