Error - "source array was not long enough"

Version 4.1.1-b14480.

This is a new one to me:

I have imported a folder with 4K ProRes 442 HQ clips. The following error message appears immediately upon opening any clip:

Cortex//set_SelectedClip(0)
Error: Source array was not long enough. Check scrIndex and length, and the array’s lower bounds.

Cortex//b__13(0)
Error: Source array was not long enough. Check scrIndex and length, and the array’s lower bounds.

Interestingly, these clips have a frame rate of 23.976 fps and the project I have set up in Cortex for them has the same rate. However, the play speed shows up as 24 but the sound TC FPS shows up as 23.976.

If I try to play a clip, Coretex crashes (four times in a row so far).
If I try to change the play speed of the clip to 23.976, Cortex crashes.

Any help would be appreciated as I cannot move forward at this point.

Here are the logs.

EDIT: The plot thickens…

It turns out that there is one problem clip in this batch. It is two frames long. When I try to add this clip to a reel, I get a message about the clip speed having been altered to 23.952, which is baffling. Anyway, I removed the clip from this batch and am able to continue.

Hi Charles,

These errors are definitely related to the audio in those clips. Are you able to playback the clips in another application like QuickTime or Switch? If you are able to send us a sample file that would be helpful.

I edited my initial post to include the workaround. The client doesn’t want me to share the files with any outside sources.

OK glad you can continue. The clip speed message sounds very strange. I’ve never seen that before.
